Cetus GPS Quick Start
In order to use Cetus GPS you need a Palm PDA and a GPS receiver. If your GPS receiver is not the kind you attach directly to your Palm, you also need a GPS receiver cable to connect the GPS receiver to your Palm.
Installation
Please download the latest Cetus GPS release and install these files on your Palm:
Configuring the GPS receiver
The GPS receiver must be configured to transmit data using the NMEA-0183 V2.0 or newer. If you don't know how to configure the GPS receiver, consult your GPS receiver manual.
First run
When you have configured the GPS receiver and connected it properly to the Palm, simply tap the Cetus GPS icon in Applications to start Cetus GPS.
The first page you will see is the Navigate page. If the GPS receiver is connected and configured correctly, the Cetus GPS status text will change within a few seconds to either No fix, 2D fix or 3D fix. If the status shows No GPS it means that Cetus GPS is not receiving NMEA sentences from the GPS receiver.
This page provide only a brief description on how to use Cetus GPS. For detailed information please read The Cetus GPS Book.
